Another option has emerged over the past few months and that is a service called Swappa. Swappa is a marketplace for the buying and selling of Android phones. It is for Android fans by Android fans.
It has garnered positive reviews and the founder, Ben Edwards, is involved in the Android community and is very responsive to questions, comments, suggestions, and critiques. This is often lacking when buying and selling from eBay.
Usability is a big factor. One thing that makes Swappa a lot easier to use, compared to eBay for instance, is you start out by choosing the device to buy and sell. It makes it real easy to see all the listings together and compare apples to apples. If you search eBay for ‘Motorola Droid’ you get listings for a half dozen different types of devices and their accessories, all in the same list. It’s a pain, and it’s ugly.
